“Fuel Subsidy Is Gone” – Tinubu Declares
President Bola Tinubu

President Bola Tinubu is reportedly holding a bilateral meeting with the Special Envoy of the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, Peng Qinghua.

Qinghua, who led the Chinese delegation to the inauguration ceremony of Tinubu, arrived at the Villa around 3.30 pm and was ushered into the President’s office. The delegation included the Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun, and his deputy.

While the details of the bilateral meeting have not yet been made public, it was expected that the leaders will discuss key areas of collaboration between Nigeria and the People’s Republic of China.

The meeting came about 72 hours after envoys of the United States of America, the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia pledged support for Tinubu’s administration.
