Former Barcelona forward, Carles Perez’s own dog bit him in the groin as he tried to separate it from another dog, and he now sits out with a six-stitch wound.

The 27-year-old forward, on loan at Aris Thessaloniki from Celta Vigo, checked into a private hospital in Panorama for treatment and remains under observation.

Therefore, he might need surgery before he can return.
Perez will miss Aris’s Europa Conference League qualifier against Araz-Naxçıvan as the team chases a turnaround from a 2–1 first-leg loss.
Manager Marinos Ouzounidis confirmed Perez had been set to start and urged his squad to show character:
“We can’t dwell on this incident. We’ve prepared alternative solutions.”
