Dog Bites Private Part of Ondo Varsity Student

A student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, in Ondo state has been bitten by an unguarded dog.

Opeyemi, an 100-level student of Animal Science, AAU was said to have been bitten in his privates by a dog owned by another 24-year-old 400-level student.

The incident was confirmed by an eye witness who revealed that the 18 year old boy had been rescued by other students following a bite in his crotch.

Oluwafemi Adegbeyeni, the image maker of the institution has also made a disclosure to that effect via a statement.

However, Funmi Odulami, the spokesperson of the state police command argued while confirming the nasty incident that the dog had only bitten the upper thigh of the victim.

The owner of the unguarded dog identified as Abass Olagunju was in the same department as Opeyemi.

The victim was bitten by Charlie (the dog’s name) following his visit to his friend’s residence somewhere around the institution.

The victim was immediately taken to Inland Specialist Hospital, Ikare where he was in no time discharged having been treated.

The dog has therefore, been arrested while the owner of it has been invited by Police Detectives for interrogations.

Adegbeyeni stated thus: “From what I gathered, the student went to visit a friend at Vanilla Villa, around the Permanent Site. Maybe knowingly or unknowingly he was bitten by the unguarded dog.”

“The victim was quickly rushed to a hospital for treatment because the dog bit part of his private parts.”

“He is currently being treated and still alive and that is the information I got from people who live in the area.”

“The incident happened in the morning and from what we gathered, the dog has been a threat to people living in that area but we have been warning students to secure their dogs. The incident happened outside the  school premises.”
