An unidentified group of gunmen, on Monday, attacked the Igoba community in Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State killing a security guard identified as ‘Mr Sunday.’
The unknown attackers shot and killed the security guard at the Titolu Venture filling station in the community, then set the station ablaze.
Ajisafe Oluwatobiloba, the manager of the station also confirmed the tragic event.

“I was called by one of the residents, and when we arrived, we noticed the station blazing.
We called the fire department, and they came to put out the fire without realizing the culprits had slain our security guard,” he said.
Meanwhile, SP Funmi Odunlami, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, PPRO, confirmed the incident and announced that investigations had begun to figure out the cause of the incident.
