Abba Kyari Suspension Recommended by IG
The Inspector General of Police has recommended the suspension of under fire cop, Abba Kyari, following his indictment by American authorities over an alleged connivance in fraudulent activities.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police is alleged to have been involved in a $1m fraud perpetrated by renowned internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly known as HushPuppi.
Recall that HushPuppi is currently standing trial for internet fraud faraway in the United States.

The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba recommended for Abba Kyari’s suspension to the Police Service Commission in a letter dated July 31,2021.
According to Frank Mba, the Nigerian police spokesman, “The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc (+), NPM, fdc has recommended the immediate suspension of DCP Abba Kyari, the Head of the Police Intelligence Response Team (IRT), from the Service of the Nigeria Police Force, pending the outcome of an ongoing internal investigations touching on him”.
Mba stated the suspension of Abba Kyari will give the Nigerian Police Force an enabling environment for the Special Investigation Panel to carry out its internal investigations.
