Former Nigeria international John Utaka has submitted his application to become the next head coach of the Flying Eagles. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently announced the opening of the position and invited interested candidates to apply. The deadline for applications is Sunday, August 4.

According to SCORENigeria, John Utaka is among those who have already expressed their interest in the role. Currently, the 42-year-old is coaching the U-19 team at French Ligue 1 club Montpellier.

Utaka’s illustrious playing career includes representing Nigeria at two FIFA World Cups, in 2002 and 2010, where he showcased his skills as a winger. His experience and background in both playing and coaching make him a strong candidate for the Flying Eagles head coach position.
