An aide to Atiku Abubakar, the former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has criticized state governors who align with Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike, labeling them as traitors.
Demola Olarewaju, Atiku’s Special Assistant on Digital Media, expressed his views on social media, stating that Wike’s influence hinges on destabilizing the PDP.
Olarewaju emphasized that the ongoing crises within the PDP can be traced back to the party’s leadership decisions, particularly since its loss in the 2015 elections.
His comments come amid a rift among PDP governors regarding the party’s leadership in Rivers State, where factions support either Governor Siminalayi Fubara or Wike.
