Police Arrest ‘One Chance’ Robbery Couple in Abuja

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested a couple and another individual in connection with a series of robberies, specifically ‘one chance’ activities within the FCT and its vicinity.

The FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Josphenie Adeh confirmed the arrest on Wednesday.

Josphenie disclosed that the
suspects, Chukwudi Okorie (51), Chibuzor Okorie (43), and Esther Gabriel (51), all residents of Akaraka Gwagwa, FCT, were apprehended by operatives from Utako Police Divisional Headquarters.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to carrying out several one-chance-related activities in the FCT before their arrest.

The police recovered a blue Mazda car with Reg No. FCT 590 EV, an operational vehicle used by the syndicate to perpetrate their heinous acts from one of the suspects.

While investigations are still ongoing to apprehend other accomplices, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Haruna G Garba, reiterated his unflinching commitment to ensuring FCT remains a safe and peaceful place for residents to stay without fear from any quarters of the Territory.

The Commissioner equally urged the populace to keep up rendition of distress calls and report suspicious activities through police emergency lines.
