Police Kick Against ‘No Gree For Anybody’ Slogan

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has kicked against the use of the viral 2024 slogan, “no gree for anybody,” citing violence against police officers.

The origin of the slogan is unknown, but it has been adopted by Nigerians, particularly youths, as a “motivation” to succeed in the new year.

The Force spokesperson, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi warned against the use of the slogan during a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.

However, Netizens have continued to spread the slogan, saying no one can stop them.

In a tweet on his official X handle on Thursday night, the Force spokesperson said that the “Police are in the best position to advise and educate Nigerians on possible early warning signs of an impending danger as a civil and people-oriented institution.”

Adejobi further warned that the slogan should not be used to attack security operatives while discharging their duties.

He said:
Do not take the 2024 slogan for granted. Do not abuse the slogan and capitalise on it to be attacking security operatives while discharging their duties.

“Be reasonable with the slogan, sue for, and embrace peace anywhere you find yourself, even at home. It is well with our dear country.”
