Robbers Raid Osun Community, Injure Two

Some robbers on Tuesday raided residents of Ilupeju community in Osun state of their valuables, leaving people two injured.

Kayode Ademola, a resident in the area made it known that the incident followed the initial attack at a poultry farm by the robbers.

According to Segun, a night guard at the farm, the incident was perpetrated around 1am by the robbers who wore masks and attacked, tied and kept him in the toilet.

“They came around 1am. I was the only one on duty. They were looking for money. Unfortunately, they could not get anything here. I was attacked with machete but their machete didn’t penetrate.” The guard said.

“I was then tied and locked up in the toilet. I later maneuvered to free myself and left the toilet, I was hearing gunshots even till around 5:am.”

“The robbers were five in number. Two of them carried gun. Only one of them did not wear mask.”

Yusuf Olawale, another resident also declared that the raid lasted for 4 hours, during which his family were deeply praying for release.

When contacted, the spokesperson of Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, said she had not been briefed of the incident.
