2023: Swarm of Bees Scatter APC Rally in Kogi

A swarm of bees on Saturday reportedly disrupted a rally put together by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State, Northcentral Nigeria.

The APC had organised a road walk in Ihima, Okene to campaign for all candidates of the party from the area.

In other news, APC’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu has fired its elected presidential council’s campaign coordinator for Adamawa State, Senator Aisha Dahiru, aka Binani.

Binani was relieved of her duty after the executive committee of the APC in the state rejected her as coordinator and member of the Presidential Campaign Council.

Tinubu has hence replaced Binani with a former Adamawa state deputy governor, Martin Babale.

This was in a letter signed by the Plateau State governor who doubles as the Director-General of the Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

It partly read:

Appointment to serve as Adamawa state Interim Coordinator for Tinubu/Shetima Presidential Campaign Council.

“By way of this letter, I’m pleased to formally convey your appointment as Adamawa state Coordinator of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential Campaign Council.

“This appointment is fitting and appropriate, given your impressive political achievement and the exemplary leadership you have demonstrated as a major pillar of the party.

“We are confident that your wealth of experience will impact greatly on our mission to drive an effective message-driven campaign.”
