Airstrikes Kill Bandit Head, Dogo Umaru, 40 Others

Nigerian Air Force (NAF) fighter jets have neutralized a bandit, Dogo Umaru,  on Wednesday.

The operation also led to the death of at least 40 other bandits near Tsamben Babare village in Katsina.

Umaru, one of the commanders loyal to wanted bandits leader, Bello Turji and his foot soldiers were responsible for deadly attacks on Magama village in Jibia Local Government Area.

An Army intelligence officer told PRNigeria that one of the aircrafts engaged the terrorists in successive passes, while the second targeted fleeing terrorists.

The source also disclosed that security agencies have intensified operations in the North-West.
