The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ponyan Ward in the Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State, Bunmi Ipinnaiye, has reportedly committed suicide in a Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) cell.
It was learnt that Ipinnaiye was apprehended and locked by the NSCDC operatives over the alleged attempted murder of his son.
Ipinnaiye was said to have attacked his son who has been fraternising with some boys allegedly involved in social vices.

He was however arrested following the attack and was found dead in his cell on Tuesday, June 7.
He reportedly used his belt to hang himself.
The body of the deceased was found by NSCDC operatives who went into his cell to interrogate him.
