Breaking: Herdsmen Attack Plateau Communities, Burn Houses, Kill 4

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have yet again attacked communities in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State, burning houses and killing four persons in the process.

The attack which which has left several people injured, reportedly occurred late on Saturday night while the locals were fast asleep.

The incident was confirmed by National President of Irigwe Development Association, Ezekiel Bini, who spoke to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau state capital.

Bini said, “Fulani herdsmen have again attacked our people last night. This particular attack is more devastating.

“Houses from Zamuna Village and those close to Jebbu Miango have been burnt by the attackers.

“They further destroyed our farms by mowing the crops and setting several houses on fire. Four people have been confirmed killed and many seriously injured.”

Security operatives have since been deployed to the area for investigations.
