According to Oasis Magazine, the student identified as Michael Ogbeife, an SS3 student, perpetrated the act on Thursday, December 2, 2021.

Oasis Magazine explained that the suspect left the school in anger and headed straight for the teacher’s office upon his return.

Michael is suspected to have engaged the teacher in a fight with the use of charms.

The late Joseph, who taught Agricultural Science and Biology in the school until his demise, reportedly collapsed after punches from the student left him with a bleeding nose and blood gushing out from his mouth.

He was rushed to a private hospital in the Abraka and then to the government hospital where he was confirmed dead.

The school’s proprietor, Mr. Erhimu, in his reaction said he was yet to receive full details of the incident as he was absent from school when the incident occurred.

“I was not in school when the incidence happened,” he simply said.

The police spokesman in the Delta state, DSP Bight Edafe, confirmed the incident, saying, “Suspect is nowhere to be found for now but a sister is in protective custody.”
