Burutu Constituency I: Alapala Takes Thank You Tour to Monarchs, Pa Clark

 

The member-elect for Burutu Constituency I in the Delta State House of Assembly, Alapala Ebitonmo Anthony, has taken his ‘Thank You Tour’ to traditional rulers in the the constituency.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Alapala on Wednesday, April 19, paid an appreciation visit to the traditional rulers led by their Chairman, His Royal Majesty, Elder (Capt) Dr. Joseph Timiyan (JP), Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom.

According to the member-elect, the visit was to thank the monarchs for their support following his victory at the polls.

He also thanked the people of his constituency for their support during and after the election processes.

Speaking on behalf of the monarchs, HRM Timiyan commended Alalapa for deeming it fit to embark on the first-of-its-kind tour. The monarch added that he and his colleagues will continue to support the member-elect.

He said; “the very first day you came to consult the royal fathers, I know that you will make a better representative. You have proven to be a good material, a reference point in the political telescope of Burutu LGA and beyond. We are solidly behind you.”

Other traditional rulers present include HRM Dr. Charles Ayemi-Botu, the paramount ruler of Seimbiri Kingdom; HRM Bosu Dio (JP), Ayamabulou 1, the paramount ruler of Iduwini Kingdom and HRM Johnbull Polokowei, Apiarogun, Ongolo 1, the Pere of Ogbolubiri Mein Kingdom.

The lawmaker-elect also visited foremost Ijaw National Leader Pa E.K Clark OFR, a thank you voyage to the Federal Capital Territory.

The elder statesman in his usual form, listed the challenges faced by Ijaw areas, and urged Alapala to see himself as a collective interest of the people in the state.

Expressing confidence that Alapala will move the right motions and bills for the welfare of his constituents, Clark lauded the initiative of returning to the people in appreciation following his victory at the polls.

Alapala, who contested under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) polled 7,296 to defeat his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) opponent, Hon. Asupa Forteta who polled 6,416 votes.
