Dagogo Misses Out Of PDP Primaries As Court Adjourns Suit To June 2

The embattled Peoples Democratic Party governorship aspirant in Rivers State, Hon. Farah Dagogo will on the June, 2, know his fate on his bail application at the Rivers State High court.

The lawmaker is facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and cultism preferred against him by the Rivers State Government.

Trial Judge, Justice Chiwendu Ngworgu gave the adjourned date after ruling on the preliminary objection on the issue of jurisdiction filed by counsel to the defendant which the court dismissed.

The Judge further advised the parties to return on the next adjourned date to argue the motion for bail.

Speaking to journalists after the court proceedings, counsel to Dagogo, Cosmos Enweluzo SAN, accused the prosecution counsel of deliberately delaying the process to have his client remain at the correctional centre.

On his part, prosecution counsel Chidi Ekeh dismissed the allegations by the defence counsel, adding that they have the right to respond to the defence application.

Following the adjournment of the suit, Dagogo will miss out in the governorship primaries of the people democratic party, PDP in Rivers State which is scheduled for today, May 25.
