I Won Delta Governorship Election Squarely – Omo-Agege

Delta governorship election was manipulated – Omo-Agege

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the governorship election in Delta State, Senate Ovie Omo-Agege has claimed that he won the election squarely.

Omo-Agege promised that he would retrieve his stolen mandate from the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Sheriff Oborevwori.

In the March 18, 2023 election conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Deputy Senate President secured 240,229, while his counterpart, Sheriff Oborevwori of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), polled 360,234 votes.

The electoral body subsequently declared the PDP candidate, who had 120, 000 votes above APC’s 240,229 winner of the election.

Omo-Agege, however, during a meeting with some of his constituents from Delta Central at the National Assembly in Abuja on Wednesday, disagreed with the result declared by INEC.

He stated that the Delta governorship election was manipulated.

He said:

“I won the Delta Governorship election conducted on March 18th this year by INEC, clean and clear.

“All the manipulations carried out by PDP in collaboration with some staff of INEC have been exposed and will be used as exhibits in the court of law.

“I am determined to fight it all the way because the real valid votes scored by me in the election are more than enough to declare me as the governor–elect.”
