Odogwu Congratulates Pondi on Appeal Court Victory

The President General of Ijaw Community in Ughelli, Chief Odogwu Omotie Fun-Akpo Stanley has extended congratulations to Julius Pondi on his victory at the Appeal.

Odogwu, in a congratulatory message on Saturday, described the victory
Aas a strong affirmation of Pondi’s leadership and consummated with the faith the people of Burutu have in him.

The message follows the dismissal of the appeal filed by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Dr. Emibra Agbeotu, who had sort a reversal of the judgement made by the National and State Assembly Elections Tribunal.

The tribunal had in its sitting in Asaba, the Delta State capital, dismissed the APC’s suit against Pondi’s victory in the February 25 elections.

The Appeal Court, which convened in Lagos, emphatically upheld the earlier judgment.

Odogwu, who commended the lawmaker for his dedication to the welfare of constituents, said;

“Your Appeal Court victory is nothing but an affirmation of your forthrightness, as stamped by the good people of Burutu Federal Constituency at the 2023 polls. Indeed, you have been a worthy messenger of the Burutu people and a son of pride to the Ward-11 people, across all party lines.”

“Congratulations as you continue to do that which only you know how to do best for the interest of Burutu Federal Constituency.”

He subsequently called on the opposition to accept the court verdict in good fate and join hands with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Rt. Hon. Julius Pondi, Hon. Godknows Angele and Hon. Chief Combolous Ikisa to move Burutu forward.
