Ugandan Chef, Mama D Breaks Guinness World Record For Cooking Marathon | Daily Report Nigeria

Mama D, a Ugandan chef, has shattered the Guinness World Record o cooking marathon.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Mama D broke the record on Thursday, 28 December 2023, after cooking for more than 119 hours, 57 minutes, a record set by the Irish chef, Alan Fisher in November.

The chef, who is still cooking as of press time, plans to cook till the new year. If things go as planned for her, she would cook non-stop for 9 days.

Fisher had broken the previous record set by Nigerian chef, Hilda Baci who cooked for 93 hours, 11 minutes earlier in May 2023.

Baci’s feat shut the attempt to new heights of fame, with multiple chefs looking to break the record.

Though Mama D has broken Fisher’s record, her status as the Longest Cooking Marathon record holder will not be official until she is certified by the Guinness World Record.
