David De Gea, Manchester United first-choice goalkeeper has confirmed that the club has been cursed.

De Gea grabbed a trophy in his second season at Old Trafford, before raising the FA Cup in 2016.

The Spanish shot-stopper also won both the League Cup and Europa League respectively in the following year.

That is to say, United have not lifted any trophy since 2017.

The title drought seems to be stretched in the ongoing season, as the only realistic chance of trophy left for the Reds is the Champions League.

Meanwhile, four different coaches have taken charge at Old Trafford since 2013 when Sir Alex Ferguson pulled out.

And Ralph Rangnick’s team have spent money in the region of £1billion on players since then.

De Gea said: “I think someone has put a curse on us or something.”

“The truth is I don’t know what’s going on, I really don’t.”

He added: “People always ask me and we talk about it as team-mates and we just say “we don’t know what’s happening.”

“We should have competed for more trophies, bigger titles, but I just don’t know why this team doesn’t function.”
