Just like in the last three previous matches, United have had a beautiful start to the game and were put ahead of Ralph Hasenhüttl’s boys with Jason Sancho’s goal in the 21st minute.

However, the visiting team had the goal cancelled as Che Adams found a leveller in the early minute of the second half.

Shaw told the BBC: “History is repeating itself.”

“We started really well the first 20 minutes, got the goal and it just happened again. We know it’s not good enough and it needs to change quickly.”

“We want to get in the Champions League and it’s not good enough and there’s no way we will get in Champions League if we keep dropping points.”

The 26-year-old added: “The most important thing at the moment is results. It’s about picking up the points and we need to be climbing the table.”
