Antonio Conceicao, the former head coach of the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon, has thrown his hat in the ring for the position of head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

As reported by SCORENigeria, the Portuguese coach is among the prominent names who have expressed their interest in leading the three-time African champions.

Antonio Conceicao previously managed the Cameroon national team from 2019 to 2022, guiding them to a commendable third-place finish at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

With a wealth of experience, the 62-year-old tactician has also plied his trade in various countries including Portugal, Romania, and Saudi Arabia.

Following the recent declaration by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) of the vacancy for the Super Eagles head coach position, applications have been invited from interested coaches.

It’s worth noting that the team’s previous coach, Jose Peseiro, was also of Portuguese nationality.
